Siborg is now offering the LCR-Reader Probe Connector in the LCR-Reader Store. This shielded two-wire connector allows LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezers to be used as a probe station for full PCB probing and also makes it possible to measure components that will not fit between the tweezers.
The kit comes with a 60 cm long cable that is flat on one end to connect with the LCR-meter and the other end is a universal slot for the seven attachments that are included. These attachments are a variation of probes and connectors: 2 alligator clips, 1 long pin-probe, 1 medium pin-probe, 1 spade connector and 2 4mm multimeter jack plugs.attachments
The device is simple to install and even easier to use. Simply remove on of the gold-plated tweezer tips and replace with the flat end of the Connector Probe. Be sure that the gold strips on the Connector Probe line up with those on the meter's flex cable. Replace the screws and begin measuring.
Extra Pin Probes
Siborg is now offering a 124 mm Fine Pin Probe and 73 mm Extra-Fine Pin Probe for use with the LCR-Reader Kelvin Probe Connector and multimeters that use 4 mm jacks. These pin probes provide better access to small components on crowded PCBs.Note: the Fine and Extra-Fine Pin Probes are sold separately in the LCR-Reader Store.
